The stool project was an exciting opportunity to explore the world of furniture design and improve craftsmanship abilities. Mid-century modern furniture and architecture acted as aesthetic and form inspiration. After establishing design language, it was important to establish the stool’s intended market. This stool is for young creatives with small spaces but plenty of personality. It was important that the stool satisfied multiple functions to maximize the small space that my consumer has to work with. Folio is a beautiful footrest that is both a place to sit and a magazine organizer.
