The stool project was an exciting opportunity to explore the world of furniture design and improve upon my craftsmanship. I was inspired by the aesthetic of mid-century modern furniture and architecture. After establishing my design language I explored who my intended consumer is. This stool is for young creatives with small spaces but plenty of personality. I wanted to create a stool that satisfied multiple functions to maximize the small space that my consumer has to work with. Folio is a beautiful footrest that is both a place to sit and a magazine organizer.
